I was born on 28 February 1946 at the Church Missionary Society (CMS) maternity home in Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria. I came into the family of Mr. Samuel Osamud- and Mrs. Kwuele Oriri and Ikhan-Oriri of Ujoelen, Ekpoma. At the time, my father worked under the colonial local government system in Ishan Division, and his public service shaped the seriousness with which I viewed education and duty from an early age.My early education passed through several primary schools, including Local Authority Primary School, Ewohimi; Government School, Uromi; and St Andrews Primary School. Those years were not only about lessons in the classroom; they were also years of family change—years that taught me endurance.​

The school years brought academic excellence and the first signs of leadership. A naturally curious mind thrived in the classroom, while sports and community activities revealed a gift for bringing people together. Teachers remarked on an unusual combination of discipline and warmth — qualities that earned both respect and lasting friendships. These formative years laid the groundwork for a lifetime of achievement and meaningful connections.

University opened new horizons and ignited a passion for excellence that would define the decades ahead. Armed with knowledge, ambition, and an unwavering work ethic, the transition into professional life was marked by early successes and a growing reputation for integrity. Colleagues from those early years still speak of a young professional who balanced brilliance with humility, always ready to mentor others while continuing to learn and grow.

Love, marriage, and the joy of family expanded life's richest chapter. The home became a place of warmth and laughter, a gathering point for extended family and a haven for children who would grow up surrounded by love, wisdom, and the example of a life lived with purpose. Through the busy years of raising a family and building a career, the art of balance was mastered with grace and devotion.

Decades of dedication culminated in professional achievements that earned widespread recognition. Leadership roles brought opportunities to make an even greater impact, shaping organizations and mentoring the next generation of professionals. Yet through every accolade and accomplishment, the commitment to community service and giving back remained a defining hallmark — a reminder that true success is measured not in titles, but in lives touched.

With grandchildren bringing renewed joy and a lifetime of experience to share, this era became one of reflection and continued contribution.
